Donations Make a Difference

 

Friends of Twin Lakes is nonprofit 501(c)(3) operation organization.  It is a total volunteer organization.  Our projects are funded by the generous donations of members and friends and the grants we apply for.

When you financially support Friends of Twin Lakes  you’re contributing to our ongoing efforts regarding preserving our historical village, and helping improve the Twin Lakes area for residents and visitors.

To make a tax deductible donation there are two ways:

  • Mail a check to Friends of Twin Lakes at 231 Lang St., Twin Lakes, CO  81251, and put in the memo line to what project the payment is designated.
  • Select the appropriate Donate button below, if you could, please add money to cover our “inconvenience fee” to use credit cards.  From the drop down list pick the project you would wish your donation will be applied to.

ONLINE PAYMENT OPTIONS:

1.  DESIGNATED DONATIONS–We have several designated donation project areas that will be offered to choose from the drop down menu including:

  • Fire Station 2 fixture and finish
  • Interlaken & Heritage Park maintenance and preservation
  • Dexter Cabin maintenance and preservation

We may follow up with an email so that we may obtain your full name to provide a receipt for your records of this tax-deductible donation when required.  If the donation is made in memory of someone, we may also request your address so that an appropriate thank you may be made.

 2.  PAY ANNUAL DUES OR GARBAGE BIN USAGE—We have 2 designated Friends of Twin Lakes operating donation areas to choose from:

  • Annual Dues
  • Garbage Bin

Annual dues pay for the operating costs of the Friends of Twin Lakes.  Levels are:

  • $20/person for voting members who reside, work or own property in southern Lake County (CR 300 and south, east and west to county line)
  • $10/person for non-voting members from anywhere in the world.

Garbage Bin Contributions

Garbage Bin contributions cover the cost of maintaining the bin in the Visitor Center.  This is an honor system, pay ahead or pay after.  Email friendsoftwinlakes@gmail.com for the lock combination or updates. (Your contributions go to fund this operation, there is value to the proximity and ease, however, Lake County yellow garbage disposal bags can be purchased in Leadville for $5 to $6 depending upon the vendor)

  • $5 for 2 kitchen bags or 1 large trash bag
  • $3 for 1 kitchen bag
